National Projects

Pupils walking to schoolWe also have national School Travel teams running exciting new projects in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and our sister project, Bike It, works in hundreds of schools throughout England and Wales to increase the number of young people cycling to school. Sustrans also runs an Active Play project to complement our Schools work.

News, Training and Events

Keep up-to-date with our News and Events listings, and information about specific school travel work and policies in England, ScotlandWales and Northern Ireland can be found in our “Where are you?” section.

We provide training, DVDs, advice and networking opportunities, as well as holding national and regional events and conferences.

We work closely with policy makers and the media to raise the profile of school travel issues and the commitment to safe, sustainable and healthy journeys to school for every child in the UK.
